I'm seeking a highly motivated and skilled Model-Based Systems Engineer to join a leading aerospace company based in Prestwick. They design, develop, and deliver cutting-edge defence solutions that protect and empower. You'll be at the forefront of digital transformation, applying model-based systems engineering (MBSE) principles to solve complex, mission-critical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage system models using MBSE tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Cameo Systems Modeler, IBM Rhapsody, Sparx Enterprise Architect).
  • Define system architectures, requirements, interfaces, and verification strategies.
  • Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams including software, hardware, mechanical, and mission systems engineers.
  • Support the development lifecycle from concept through design, integration, test, and sustainment.
  • Contribute to design reviews, trade studies, and system simulations.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 15288, DOORS, SysML, MIL-STD).

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Strong experience with MBSE methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with SysML and architecture frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, MODAF).
  • Experience in the aerospace or defence sector preferred.
  • Security clearance or eligibility to obtain one is required.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
