Fast paced food business based in Hayes supplying luxury food products requires a highly capable and confident Transport Supervisor OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS Competitive Salary – £35000 – £38000 Fully site-based role Highly successful business within the Food Industry 6am-2pm THE TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR Supporting the running a busy operation consisting of 30+ vehicles 25+ of which are 3.5t vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day to day operation of our transport department. Delivering a range of foods in temperature controlled vehicles to retailers, hotels, restaurants etc across London and the Home Counties our reputation is built on consistently delivering on time and in full. Key Aspects of the role include: Preparing documentation for the warehouse, haulage, distribution and shipping departments. Arrange with drivers, transport of deliveries, and confirm availability. Briefing and de-briefing drivers, speaking to drivers who may have broken down and arranging recovery. Communicating with customers, ensuring their quotations and requirements are fulfilled and calling customers to check if drivers have arrived. General administration, invoicing, purchase orders, filing, queries, claims and checking costs. Liaising with staff, Managers and field staff to ensure the above tasks are completed effectively.
