Actuarial Analyst Salary up to £50,000 We have a fantastic opportunity for an Actuarial Analyst to join our supportive and dynamic team. A bit about the job: Our Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) onboarding and operations teams are responsible for the seamless implementation of new BPA deals and the provision of ongoing services to BPA customers. These are supported by an actuarial team which provides technical support to both onboarding and operations as well as the wider team which you will join. Within the role you will assist with: The calculation and review of ongoing administration factors to ensure consistency with current market conditions and current pricing terms. The calculation and review of ad hoc actuarial factors. Providing Aviva factors to external administrators, answering their queries, and reviewing sample calculations to ensure rates are used correctly Performing actuarial valuations of buy-in contracts for trustee and corporate accounting disclosures purposes, including liaising with auditors and answering any technical queries raised. Reviewing the calculation of transfer values referred to the actuarial team for review and the ongoing development and maintenance of transfer value calculation processes and systems. Assist senior actuaries with the review of calculations of final premiums ensuring consistency with the terms of the BPA deal and any contractual requirements Skills and experience we’re looking for: Good knowledge of defined benefit pensions Strong quantitative skills, Strong IT skills (VBA an advantage), & Attention to detail Experience of calculating transfer values and/or actuarial valuations Knowledge of the BPA market and its products would be preferred Making good progress with the actuarial exams What you’ll get for this role: Our purpose – with you today, for a better tomorrow – is a promise we make to our colleagues too.
