About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Engineering Inspector to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision engineering, with experience in reading technical drawings, conducting first-off and final inspections, producing First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, and operating CMM and other inspection equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure components meet required tolerances.
- Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections of precision-engineered parts.
- Generate First Article Inspection (FAI) reports in line with industry standards.
- Program and Operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and a variety of inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, verniers, height gauges).
- Identify and report non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout production.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an engineering inspection role.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using CMM machines and other precision measurement equipment.
- Experience with FAI reporting.
