Wood Machinist required for a growing manufacturer in the Thirsk area. We are very interested to hear from candidates with previous wood working experience to work in the hardwood department, responsible for producing high quality, bespoke products in a busy workshop environment.
The role:
- Working with a range of machinery including cross cut / rip & band saws, cabinet sanders, linishers, moulders, spindle moulders, edge sanders, & orbital sanders to make items bespoke to customer requirements
- Working with hardwoods to produce high quality components
- Producing a range of furniture working to high quality standards
- Working in line with health & safety standards
The person:
- Will have confident experience of woodworking or manufacturing, training will be given on company standards and processes
- Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Be reliable with a good record of attendance and time keeping
- Be professional, hard-working, and conscientious
- Ability to read and work to drawings
- Proven background in producing high quality components
