The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
This is an exciting opportunity for a 12 month Children’s Service Manager position within the south Family Support and Safeguarding Team. This may be extended beyond the 12 month point. Candidates will need to be registered with Social Work England.
The Family Support and Safeguarding Team is currently made up of Team Managers, Social Workers, Early Help Case Managers, Family Support Workers and administrative support. The team also has support from Juno (domestic abuse services) and will shortly have support from Change Grow Live (support with drug and alcohol addiction).
The successful Children’s Service Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the team, budget responsibilities and supervision of all Team Managers within this service. They will work closely with the other Family Support and Safeguarding Teams and report directly to the south Head of Service.
The successful candidate will need to have proven experience in working in a strength based way, have the determination and ability to work creatively and thoughtfully with all members of their team in order to achieve change and work within the expectations of the Families First Partnership Programme. They will need to understand current legislation and have proven leadership of providing 'the right support at the right time' for families and working in partnership with others.
