A day in the life of a Food and Beverage Manager at our hotel involves:
- Leading the Food & Beverage department, setting high standards in service and guest experience across all areas including the Bistro & Bar, meeting space, and in-room dining
- Recruiting, training, and developing a passionate F&B team who understand the importance of warm, genuine hospitality and impeccable service
- Overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and attention to detail, from breakfast setup to evening bar service
- Collaborating with the Head Chef and kitchen team to design and deliver seasonal menus that align with brand standards and local market appeal
- Monitoring guest feedback, responding promptly to concerns, and ensuring issues are resolved to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction
- Managing department budgets, forecasting sales, controlling costs, and maximising revenue opportunities through upselling and promotions
- Maintaining full compliance with food hygiene, licensing laws, and health & safety requirements
- Working closely with Sales & Events to support meetings and special events, ensuring exceptional F&B delivery and smooth logistics
- Driving innovation, keeping up with F&B trends and seeking out opportunities to enhance the guest experience
What we need from you:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Food and Beverage managerial role within a hotel or similar hospitality environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build a motivated, engaged, and high-performing team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest service
- Proven experience in budgeting, stock control, scheduling, and driving financial performance
- Knowledge of health & safety legislation, HACCP, food hygiene standards, and licensing regulations
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literacy with proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required
