What does the role involve? Reporting into our Head of Finance and working closely with our Head of Supplier Relationship Management, you’ll lead our procurement team to ensure we deliver a professional, operational and strategic procurement service that delivers cost saving initiatives and optimises value add opportunities on a range of direct services automotive categories (garage network, tyres, breakdown etc), achieving a best in class experience for our fleet customers and drivers. Some of your key duties will include:
- Proactively manage sourcing, contracting and compliance for all direct goods and service provisions, embedding a best in class procurement governance framework.
- Responsibility for the procurement data (inc. contracts) repository, and the analysis and procurement-related MI that monitors performance and risk, and provides market insights.
- Maximising value added opportunities within the portfolio, ensuring market leading SLA's and KPI's are in place, with highly competitive costs and terms with suppliers that align to our values.
- People management and leadership of your team to optimise performance and deliver development opportunities.
What are we looking for? To be considered for this role you’ll have proven experience of leading a procurement function to deliver strategic goals. Commercially astute, you’ll be able to demonstrate experience of embedding a strategic procurement roadmap that delivers cost saving initiatives using innovative solutions. You’ll be a motivational people leader with the ability to inspire your team to achieve success and provide them with opportunities to develop their skills and experience. Also, we’re looking for the following:
- Industry experience within automotive/vehicle leasing/fleet management would be highly desirable.
- Qualified to MCIPS level or able to demonstrate relevant experience.
- The ability to collaborate, challenge and influence senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Successful delivery and negotiation of complex and diverse contracts through tender processes.
