About the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic design team within the water industry. The successful Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in delivering high-quality, safe, and technically robust design solutions for both clean and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver mechanical design outputs that meet safety, quality, and technical requirements.
- Produce detailed design calculations and drawings for a variety of water and wastewater projects.
- Lead and support CAD technicians, junior designers, and graduate engineers.
- Manage and review outputs from subcontracted M&E design teams.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to specify appropriate equipment.
- Develop comprehensive design reports, investigations, and technical specifications.
- Ensure all designs adhere to relevant technical, professional, and corporate standards.
- Accurately implement and document any project design changes.
- Provide time estimates for design tasks and packages.
- Participate in and present at internal and external project and design meetings.

- Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in mechanical design within the water industry.
