Gray Construction is seeking a Senior Manager, Preconstruction. This position will be based in Lexington, KY.

- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail applications.
- May also be required to utilize software applications specific to the estimating field.

What we expect… (Essential Functions)
- Reviews data and blueprints to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists of cost estimates.
- Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, change order pricing, vendors or subcontractors agreement, and determining cost effectiveness.
- Conducts special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
- Consults with customers, subcontractors, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Total understanding of all divisions of work and is able to extract required information from Customer’s to develop a “Request for Proposal”.
- Can provide conceptual estimates and project scope from limited Customer information within 24 hours.
- Ability to “Size up opportunities” and make “Go/No Go” recommendations on limited information.
- Other duties may be assigned.
