Your role:

  • Data analysis of engineering captured data to identify worse performing areas.
  • Data analysis of operational captured data to identify worse performing areas.
  • Root cause analysis activities conducted routinely to identify possible causes of failure and implement corrective actions.
  • Improvement projects identified and implemented based on performance and root cause activities undertaken.
  • Improvement projects to be validated through operational excellence & finance where possible.
  • Creation and Annual review of condition-based monitoring initiatives agreed by engineering management team.
  • Act as a mentor to engineering apprentices, holding regular 1-2-1 reviews and documenting progression.
  • Act as 2nd in command to engineering team leader, performing all aspects of the role when required.

  • Technical Hands-On Engineering Experience, preferably through recognised time-served apprenticeship within food manufacturing.
  • Technical qualifications and competence in mechanical/electrical.
  • BTEC Engineering certificate/equivalent qualification.
  • Broad Knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mechanical, Electrical & PLC/Inverter Assets.
  • Skills and capability to logically diagnose and fault find on a variety of equipment/situations.
  • Experience of Root cause analysis activities.
