The predicted salary is between 26000 - 33000 £ per year.

This role will lead the day-to-day management of Goods Inwards Inspection and Finished product inspections (post FAT). This position also focuses on leading the NCR process for internal and supplier rejects. Supports the quality engineer with data to drive corrective actions. Additionally, the role supports the Quality Engineer in departmental activities including calibration, reworks, audits, stock checks, First Pass Yield, as well as supports the QC scientist on FAT process.

Primary Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Management of non-conforming components and assemblies.
  • Performing investigations and develop corrective and preventative actions.
  • Perform QC checks and inspections on production items throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Assist with the design, creation, and administration of goods-inwards inspection procedures.
  • Support the creation and ongoing administration of the supplier management processes.
  • Creation and administration of calibration management system.
  • To support the Quality Department in any other relevant quality tasks including but not limited to internal audits, preparation of procedures or assisting with investigations.

We are ideally looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum GCSE Level or equivalent experience.
  • Experience within mechanical/electronic/optical field – basic.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to use basic metrology equipment.
  • Quick to learn and possess a keen eye for detail.
  • Organised and structured approach to their work.
  • Complying with all standards, internal policies and legal regulations that apply to the finished product.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong team-working skills coupled with an ability to build relationships with different people and groups.

Compensation and core benefits:

  • We anticipate a salary between £26,000 and £33,000 for this role, depending on the candidate’s experience.
  • 25 days annual leave per year in addition to bank holidays.
