We are specifically working with a ‘Good’ secondary school in North Manchester, to join them managing their Bridge, on an ongoing basis, likely to be for the full academic year on a full-time basis.
A dynamic, proactive, and caring person is required to be responsible for the day-to-day management of The Bridge and to ensure the provision provided meets all students’ needs. You will support, mentor, and work alongside students who need to be reintegrated back into mainstream provision. You will help students self-regulate, complete their work, and reflect on their approach to learning. The successful candidate will work with a group of students aged 11-16, monitoring and tracking their progress to help them reintegrate successfully into the main learning environment.
An ideal candidate would have good English and literacy skills, strong ICT skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and external services supporting student success.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in a school that prioritizes students within a warm, happy, and safe environment. The staff and students celebrate their diverse culture through events like a culture day, which highlights the different backgrounds enriching their community. The students take on extra responsibilities, demonstrating maturity. The school also fosters a strong community spirit with initiatives like a ‘community fridge’, connecting them with the wider area. The leadership team continually raises expectations, leading to ongoing improvements across the school.
