We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry Clerk to input, update, and maintain accurate information in our company databases and systems. The ideal candidate will have fast typing skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Location: Manchester

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: Temporary initially with opportunity for Permanent

Pay Rate: £13 per hour

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 25hrs min but need to be flexible as may be required to do 40hrs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter and update data accurately into relevant databases and systems.
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents.
  • Review and correct data entry errors and report any discrepancies.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems.
  • Ensure data integrity and security.
  • Respond to data requests and provide data reports as needed.
  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional computer training or certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar position.
  • Fast typing skills; knowledge of touch-typing system preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and data entry software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
