The Role – General Manager
Location – Southampton
Sector – Conference and Events
Salary - £40,000 - £45,000 + Excellent Bonus + Benefits
I am working with a superb client to find them top talent in Southampton. Are you an organised, outgoing individual who loves people? This role is really varied and offers excellent scope for growth. I am keen to speak to people from a hospitality, conference, events or hotel background who can lead and develop a small team. The role is very much about relationships and ideally, you will have natural sales skills as well as experience across operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be proactive in the management and development of your team
- Achieve venue revenue targets through both repeat business and new clients
- Work on building a true community and actively engage in networking activities
- Be an ambassador for sustainable initiatives
- Be responsive to feedback and enquiries
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams
- Take responsibility for Health, Safety and Compliance of your venue
- Build partnerships with 3rd party suppliers
