As a Recruitment Consultant you will act as an intermediary between businesses and candidates, ensuring that our clients obtain the best staff and our candidates secure the right jobs.
A large part of your day is spent identifying and shortlisting candidates for the roles you are working on. Depending on the specific role, you will employ a variety of methods including:
- Writing and posting job advertisements to attract talented candidates
- Searching the internal database of existing candidates
- Searching internet CV databases
- Social and business networking
- Head-hunting
Many candidates are spoken to at length about the vacancy, allowing you to arrive at a shortlist of candidates whose CVs will be sent to the client. Fuel Recruitment pride ourselves on the quality of our candidates and so spend a large amount of time gathering information on them to ensure they are the very best people in their respective fields.
To work as a Recruitment Consultant, you will be driven and ambitious with excellent telephone skills. You will be self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously. Previous sales experience isn’t essential. Demonstrable experience of working in a pressurised role and previous experience of working to, and exceeding targets would also be looked for.
