A leading law firm in Tunbridge Wells is looking to recruit a legal secretary to join their corporate team. No experience with corporate law is required, making it an ideal role for someone wanting to transition from another area of law. They are happy to consider applications from candidates that havenβt worked in a law firm, but you will need strong administrative experience and a desire to learn. Please note, this role is not suitable for individuals that need to complete their Qualifying Work Experience to become a solicitor.
Main Responsibilities
- Diary Management β responsible for arranging meetings, travel appointments, lunch meetings, and calls for the fee earners.
- Project Management β work with the fee earner to determine what work needs to be completed and help facilitate this, including liaising with other departments.
- Meeting Preparation β ensuring that the fee earner has all required documents prior to a meeting, including locating documents and making amendments.
- Supporting with BD activities β assisting fee earners with the preparation of pitches and presentations.
- Building Relationships β liaising with clients and internal contacts to provide updates and ensure everyone is kept informed.
About you
- You must have experience in an administration/secretarial role β preferably from a law firm or other professional services firm.
- You will be proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, and other relevant packages.
- You must possess a high level of organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- You will be positive and professional, work well under pressure, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- You need to have a passion for client care and be dedicated to providing the best possible service for clients.
