The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.

What you’ll be doing:
- Day to day support to the Senior Engineering Manager - Systems Engineering and Integration, deputising where requested.
- Provide leadership and governance oversight of Design, Development, Implementation and Integrations of a safety critical Software intensive complex system.
- Drive verification and Validation against all requirements.
- Provide leadership and support to the System Team in maturing the delivery strategies in context of Whole Boat.
- Lead the System Team and transversals in review and acceptance of deliverables.
- Chair relevant workshops and working groups.
- Liaise with internal and external customers as required to foster collaborative working relationships and ensure requirements are adequately articulated, understood and met.
- Work with BAE Systems’ supply chain department and collaborate with partners to ensure a fit for purpose solution to the requirements.
Your skills and experiences:
- BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent in a STEM subject.
- CEng (or be able to satisfy requirements for CEng).
- Demonstrable experience of engineering lifecycle, throughout all phases of design and later phases.
- Experience with System design verification e.g. calculations, modelling, analysis.
- Planning and implementation of Test, verification and validation.
- Experience of design, delivery and Justification of High integrity safety critical systems.
- Awareness of aircraft best practises ARP4754A, DO178, DO254 or equivalent.
- Awareness of IEC61508 and DEF STAN 00-55/ 00-56.
