Reed Engineering are working with an amazing global company who are seeking a dedicated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team at their facility in Hatfield. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliable and compliant operation of equipment, serving all business functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high standard of mechanical and electrical services throughout the business.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan and undertake routine scheduled maintenance of plant and/or equipment in collaboration with stakeholders, causing minimal disruption.
- Participate in an on-call rotation (1 in 6), which includes attending the site on weekends and bank holidays to manage boilers and carry out plant room checks.
- Work staggered hours, alternating weekly between early and late shifts (07:30 to 16:00 one week and 09:30 to 18:00 the next).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering (BS7671 & C&G 2391) or Mechanical Engineering (full-term apprenticeship).
- Proficient in verbal and written English.
- Competent with computer usage, particularly Windows operating systems.
- Strong awareness of Health and Safety regulations.
- Multi-skilled in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals.
- Flexibility to work outside standard office hours as needed.
