Salary: £52,000 to £56,000 per annum + overtime paid at x1.5 & x2.0 (£4k+ potential) + benefits and opportunities to progress up through their salary grades and receive enhancements.

Hours: 4 on 4 off, 6pm till 6am.

Location: Commutable from Walsall, Lichfield, Cannock, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Tamworth and surrounding areas.

Company: We are currently recruiting Mechanical Fitter / Maintenance Fitter to work within a large Engineering Department consisting of 18 Engineers. It is a supported and driven maintenance team, looking after a range of production machinery via planned and reactive maintenance, as well as completing project work. It is a varied and interesting role, no two days are the same, always juggling and prioritising workloads. You will also benefit from having opportunities to learn new skills, receive further training and develop your career in this factory and company. Progress up through their grades that offers salary enhancements and more responsibilities!

Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, working a continental shift pattern of 4 on 4 off, 6pm till 6am.
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery.
  • Dealing with machinery breakdowns and problems, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.
  • Assisting with planned shut-downs and project work, refurbishing machines and replacing worn parts.

Requirements:

  • Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications.
  • Experience in a similar environment; Industrial, Production or Manufacturing environments - most considered.
  • Maintenance experience; dealing with machinery and equipment problems and breakdowns and/or completing preventative maintenance of plant/industrial machinery.
  • Any experience of SOME of the following; Belts, Chains, Gear Boxes, Pumps, Bearings, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding and Fabricating etc.
  • Motivated and driven to succeed.
  • Willing to take on and complete further training as part of your growth and development in the factory and company.
