Lead Maintenance Operative/ Site Supervisor

I am currently recruiting for a Lead Maintenance Operative/Site Supervisor. They will be hands on carrying out reactive repairs and planned maintenance (PPMs) but also the other aspect of this role will be assisting with inducting subcontractors on site, issuing permits to work and making sure they are working safely. Where requested, undertake workmanship checks and assist the Service Manager with health & safety audits, managing stock of spares and consumables on site. There isn’t any line management responsibility. This role is initially temp but with a view to go permanent after the initial temp period. Would be based at in Homerton, East London. There will be occasional travel to some other local sites (circa once – twice a week) and then also when on-call. Would suit an operative interested in developing and taking on some “off the tools” tasks Would be temp to perm – looking at temp up until at least end of October. Plumbing background preferred. We don’t really have much in the need of carpentry work. Some electrical knowledge always good, so 18th edition would be handy. Experience working in Plant rooms. PPM’s and reactive maintenance.
