Rate: £49.00 per hour (Umbrella)

We are currently seeking an experienced Estate Surveyor to join a local authority. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the effective management and development of the Council’s property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake a broad range of estate and asset management duties across both housing and non-housing property assets.
  • Manage landlord and tenant matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policy.
  • Carry out statutory asset valuations and support the Right to Buy process.
  • Oversee and process various property transactions, including:
  • Disposals
  • Licence agreements
  • Relaxation of restrictive covenants
  • Wayleaves

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in estate and asset management, ideally within a public sector or local authority context.
  • Strong understanding of landlord and tenant legislation.
  • Ability to carry out property valuations and manage transactional work.
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS) is desirable.
