We are looking for a biomedical scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory’s cellular histology service. We are seeking a suitable histology biomedical scientist proficient in microtomy. What will you be doing in this Biomedical Scientist role? As a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist in Histology, you will be responsible for proficiently performing microtomy, achieving high-quality sectioning at a rate of over 30 blocks per hour, as well as overseeing embedding and staining processes while ensuring adherence to established protocols. You will implement quality control measures, support senior biomedical scientists in delivering comprehensive histology services, and provide training and mentorship to junior staff.
