Job Title: Regional TRS (Targeted Retail Selling) Manager Location: Covering Greater and Central London, with the potential to also include Reading This position will require frequent travel and weekend availability. Reports To : National Field Manager Position Overview: The Regional Targeted Retail Sales Manager is responsible for driving the sales performance and growth of TRO within the assigned region for the Ploom heated tobacco campaign. This role involves managing a team of retail sales staff operating in key account and independent retailers, developing, and executing sales strategies whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with the National Field Manager and Project team to align regional objectives with the overall corporate strategy. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales Strategy and Execution – Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to maximize Ploom heated tobacco product penetration in the assigned region. – Analyse market trends and consumer behaviour to identify opportunities for increasing sales and market share. – Consistently deliver sales targets and performance metrics for the retail sales team and monitor progress against these goals. – Ensure that sales initiatives and the campaign is effectively communicated and executed within the region. 2. Team Leadership and Development – Train and manage a team of heated tobacco experts, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve sales objectives, ensuring team engagement and correct reporting and transaction processes. – Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team performance. – Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team, encouraging innovation, inquisitive mindsets, and continuous improvement. – Take ownership and lead regular team meetings to discuss sales performance, share best practices, and address any challenges. 3. Retail Partner Management – Establish and maintain strong relationships with Retailers, ensuring they are well-supported, educated and aligned with the Ploom campaign objectives. – Negotiate store challenges and gain agreements with retail partners, ensuring mutual benefit. – To work collaboratively with Store booking administrator and to conduct regular visits to stores to assess performance, suitability, provide support, and identify areas for improvement. – Collaborate with retail partners to increase promotional activity opportunities and merchandising strategies that drive sales. 4. Reporting and Analysis – Collaborate with the Project team to monitor and analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of concern. – Prepare regular reports for the senior management team, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommended actions and attend weekly meetings with Project team to discuss performance. – Utilise company equipment and tools to track sales activities, manage customer relationships, and optimize sales processes. – Ensure accurate and timely submission of all field team related reports, expenses, and other required documentation. – Requirement to capture daily photographs that demonstrate genuine customer interactions with the Ploom Experts. You must ensure that photographs demonstrate compliance from a uniform, branding, and product presentation perspective. 5. Regulatory Compliance and Ethics – Ensure all sales activities comply with relevant regulations and corporate policies, including marketing and advertising standards for tobacco products. – Promote a culture of ethical behaviour and integrity within the sales team, ensuring all actions are in line with company values and legal requirements. – Stay informed about industry regulations and standards and update the team accordingly. Skills and Abilities: – Strong leadership and people management skills. – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. – Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans. – Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to develop and execute targeted sales plans. – Proficiency in Microsoft Office software. – Knowledge of category and regulatory requirements related to tobacco products is an asset. Working Conditions: – Candidate must be car owner with business insurance plan. – Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region. – Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required. – Ability to lift and carry promotional materials and equipment. Pay & Benefits: Rate – £18.50ph Hours – 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. 40 hours per week. (Currently Tuesday-Saturday) Laptop and Phone provided for work and business use. Business and Travel Expenses – Reimbursed Mileage – Paid at the rate of 0.34p per mile. Role Duration: Start Date: Wednesday 8th January 2025 Training: Wednesday 8th January – Saturday 11th January with the National Field Manager Live: Ongoing from Tuesday 14th January 2025 until Saturday 28th June 2025 with potential to extend the role past June 2025
