Commissioning Development Officer

Opus people solutions are currently recruiting for a Development officer (international recruitment) for our client Walsall Council, Temporary placement until September 2025 with potential extension.

Working hours: 37hrs per week – out of hours/weekends may be necessary

Pay Rate: £18.72ph

Location: Walsall Council House, Hybrid with occasional travel within the Walsall Borough.

Requirements: Driver, have access to own vehicle.

Main Purpose:

Support Integrated Commissioning: Assist in developing and implementing commissioning plans for adults in collaboration with various stakeholders (health, housing, social care, independent sector providers, voluntary organisations, service users, and carers).
Project Management: Take responsibility for assigned projects, ensuring they are delivered according to plan.
Delivering Improved Outcomes: Conduct commissioning activities to ensure services meet required standards and regulations, leading to better outcomes for the community.
Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain relationships with stakeholders and contribute to project teams.
Support Service Improvement: Identify service issues and recommend improvements, providing support to achieve high-quality services.
