Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the dynamic team at St George's NHS Trust. The role involves providing comprehensive care and assessment for patients with complex needs, including trauma, neurosurgical, and neuro-oncology cases. The successful candidate will play a vital role in facilitating patient recovery and discharge planning within NHS pathways.
Role and Responsibilities:

Conduct complex patient assessments, including initial, motor, sensory, cognitive, and functional evaluations

Develop and implement individualized care and rehabilitation plans

Perform discharge planning, ensuring a smooth transition for patients

Provide expertise in specialist seating and equipment recommendations

Make and document mental capacity decisions in line with legal and ethical standards

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient care

Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records
Requirements:

HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist

Competence with iClip notes system is strongly desirable

Proven experience in rehabilitation, working with older adults and patients with physical and cognitive deficits

Strong team-working and communication skills within a healthcare environment
