Your Role
- Develop innovative safety engineering approaches that address current AV safety challenges
- Ensure Oxa’s products comply with relevant safety standards such as ISO 26262, ISO/DIS 21448, and other emerging standards
- Contribute to developing safety engineering processes across concept, system, and software development phases
- Define and implement verification and validation strategies for system safety, collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Plan, monitor, and report safety achievements, generate safety cases, and recommend improvements
- Perform safety analyses at system and software levels using methods like FTA, FMEA, STPA, DFA
- Derive safety requirements and support test case creation and validation criteria
- Manage safety requirements from customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Assist cross-functional teams on safety engineering topics
- Support safety assessments and audits
- Promote and develop safety leadership culture at Oxa
Requirements
What you need to succeed:
- Strong understanding and passion for safety
- Experience in functional safety and/or SOTIF implementation
- Experience in safety engineering and autonomous vehicle operations
- Knowledge of safety standards like ISO 26262, PAS 21448, ISO TS 5083
- Good communication skills for technical discussions with diverse audiences
- Collaborative and proactive communication approach
- Experience with the full safety engineering lifecycle
- Background in vehicle autonomy or advanced ADAS programs (L3)
- Background in Software Engineering or Robotics
