One Glassdoor review sums it up: “Genuinely changes lives, that’s what I enjoyed. The people I worked with were amazing — passionate, dedicated, and really committed to helping clients.” This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference in people’s lives — whether you’ve worked in the prison service, support work, criminal justice, or any role where you’ve helped vulnerable adults overcome barriers. Full training and shadowing is provided, so you don’t need to know it all on day one.

About the role: Based at HMP Wealstun, you’ll support people as they prepare for release, offering 1:1 casework tailored to their individual needs. You’ll help them work through challenges related to:

  • Housing
  • Employment
  • Finances
  • Relationships
  • And more

This is not a groupwork-heavy role — it’s about building real, supportive relationships through personalised one-to-one work.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience supporting prison leavers, vulnerable adults, or individuals in the criminal justice system
  • Ideally, current prison vetting (but we’re open to strong candidates without it)
