We are looking for a dedicated HSQE Advisor to join our team and help us maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance. As a key member of our organization, you will ensure that health and safety legislation is met while fostering a safety-first culture across all levels of the business. This could be something you’re looking to transfer into from your current construction role.
What You’ll Do:
- Pre-Commencement Site Surveys: Identify and mitigate risks before projects even begin.
- Construction Phase Plans: Develop detailed plans to ensure safety and compliance throughout construction.
- Audits & Inspections: Regularly assess our operations to ensure we meet health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Reporting & Improvements: Document findings and provide recommendations for improvements in safety practices.
- Stand-Down Briefings: Lead safety briefings and reinforce our commitment to a safe working environment.
- Incident Investigations: Get to the root cause of accidents and incidents, recommending corrective actions where necessary.
- Client Health & Safety Tours: Represent us during client tours, showcasing our dedication to safety.
- Promote a Safety Culture: Engage and inspire employees and subcontractors to actively participate in building a strong safety culture.
- Risk Assessments: Work closely with teams to review and advise on workplace risk assessments for both business and construction operations.
What We’re Looking For:
- A NEBOSH General Certificate would be a bonus but is not a prerequisite.
- A full driving license and the willingness to travel, sometimes staying overnight (1-2 nights per week during busy periods).
- Flexibility to support audits for both day and night shift projects.
