Do you want to be part of a global organisation? We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our London based client. As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer, you will be required to participate in the business's Operational compliance in line with specifications and procedures within the Companies Management System and Customer / Certification requirements. You will also represent the Quality department by being the day-to-day contact on all issues arising from the Operational area and support the implementation of root cause and corrective actions. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT * Degree in Engineering or relevant subject * Experience within Manufacturing * Previous experience in a similar role or minimum 3-4 yrs facilitating multi-disciplinary teams in process improvement activities. * Extensive experience leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations * Have a demonstrable solid track record of problem resolution & process improvement * Experience in using SAP and JIRA JOB DESCRIPTION Process * Identify gaps in business processes and implement changes necessary to reflect current practices which comply with internal, customer or certification requirements. Identify internal process improvements and implement. * Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations using 8D methodology, Fishbone/Ishikawa/5Ys. * Lead FMEA exercises in order to identify & mitigate against potential risks to the business. * Perform detailed analysis of manufacturing non-conformance data with a view to identifying trends. * Provide innovative solutions and suggestions to drive improvements within manufacturing areas. * Provide guidance/ support to Manufacturing teams and quality staff on aspects relating to quality. * Support and conduct audits – as required – product and process. * Monitor and escalate, where necessary, internal product quality issues where actions needed to address non-conformances either not agreed, behind scheduled or stopped. Team Work * Mentor QC Contractors. Ensure they understand what is required. * Work with the Engineering and other departments on all aspects Quality Assurance & Control. * Communicate effectively with departmental staff & internal customers. * Build and Maintain good working relationships with department colleagues, staff and support depts. * Drive a Quality and Right First-Time culture within the functional area. * Support production on all quality issues to ensure a timely disposition. Planning and Reporting * Attend relevant meetings, ensuring you have relevant information. * Capture data for the businesses Key Performance Indicators as defined. QHSE * Enforce & Adhere to local clean area rules (ESD, Washing hands etc). Deal with non-compliance. * Respond to product quality issues in a timely manner. * Support and participate in improvement initiatives, quality projects and programs: continuous improvement events within the business management system, Lean / site improvements, organisations culture change programme, Jidoka etc. * Ensure company H&S policy is applied & ensure staff behave in a safe manner. * Ensure health safety checks are carried out on time and equipment is labelled where required. * Ensure ESD Protocols are followed. * Report all Accidents & Near Misses in a timely manner to HSE Department.
