Temp Removals HGV Driver

We are currently seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Drivers to work within the Removals and Relocation sector, representing our clients in London. As an agency-supplied driver, you’ll be expected to deliver high standards of service and professionalism, while maintaining flexibility with start times and locations. Key Responsibilities * Operate an HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicle to safely transport household or commercial goods to and from designated locations. * Assist with the loading and unloading of furniture and goods, including heavy lifting. * Carry out pre-use vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and compliant. * Liaise with customers in a professional and courteous manner on-site. * Work as part of a removals crew when required, supporting porters and team leaders. * Follow route and time schedules provided by the transport office. * Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and logs. Requirements * Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence * CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digital Tachograph Card * Minimum 6 months of recent HGV Class 2 driving experience (removals experience desirable) * Physically fit – the role includes heavy lifting and manual handling * Good communication and customer service skills * Flexible with working hours, including occasional potential overnight stays and weekends Pay and Benefits * £15.00–£18.00 per hour PAYE * Weekly pay through the agency * Flexible working patterns – full-time and part-time shifts available * Opportunities for long-term assignments with reputable removals firms
