Our Industrial Placements are open to university students seeking a 12-month placement during their third year. This provides real-world experience in our business, building commercial and technical skills in a fast-paced logistics environment. We seek passionate, ambitious students eager to start a career in logistics.
Your Role
- You will work with the team responsible for providing UK services, including cargo collection/delivery, arranging transport for urgent shipments, and booking temperature-controlled vehicles.
- You will engage with various departments, participate in projects, and gain mentorship and on-the-job training.
- Your contributions will help achieve organizational goals and develop key skills like communication and teamwork.
Your Responsibilities
- Plan truck routes and work with hauliers to improve performance.
- Ensure customs compliance.
- Review and optimize processes for cost and volume efficiency.
- Participate in key projects.
- Manage supplier relationships.
- Support team metrics and stakeholder collaboration.
- Build strong customer relationships and ensure high satisfaction.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Applicants must be enrolled in a degree program with a third-year placement option.
- Candidates should be passionate about customer service, have a strong work ethic, and communicate effectively.
- Good planning, organization, and multitasking skills are essential.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel is beneficial.
- Security vetting is required, including criminal record checks and identity validation.
