A brand new permanent opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive company based in the heart of Gloucester. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper to join a growing business who is highly invested in supporting career growth and offering the opportunity to progress within the company if desired. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Head of Commercial to improve financial systems, ensure project profitability, and help drive efficient, scalable processes as the business continues to grow.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accurate financial records across multiple projects
- Timely invoicing in line with contract teams and project milestones
- Oversee payments to supplier and contractors, maintaining strong working relationships
- Financial reporting and reconciliation of accounts via Xero
- Ensuring project spend is up to date and accurate
- Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end accounts, including documentation for audit
- Work with project managers and quantity surveyors to monitor project financial health
