Our client, a leading Tier One MEP contractor committed to responsible, inclusive construction, is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join the delivery team on a major infrastructure project in Somerset.
The Role
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the site-based delivery team, managing the installation and commissioning of electrical systems. You’ll work closely with subcontractors, site supervisors, and client representatives to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise sections of the electrical installation works and manage supply chain activities
- Oversee site delivery of electrical systems including LV distribution, containment, lighting, small power, fire alarms, and BMS
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Support commissioning activities and coordinate with the Commissioning Manager for final handover
- Lead and mentor supervisors, assigning responsibilities and managing progress
- Plan and manage procurement, installation, and commissioning phases
- Support commercial teams with contract variations and performance monitoring
- Conduct site audits and lead subcontractor performance reviews
