About the Programme
New Directions – East Hampshire is a 12-week voluntary pre-employment support programme designed to help people in East Hampshire on their journey back into work. Our goal is to help people move into meaningful paid or voluntary employment through tailored, specialist Supported Employment.
Your Role
As Engagement Consultant, you’ll be the friendly face of the programme—building and growing relationships across the region to promote New Directions and open up referral pathways. You'll connect with local partners like Youth Fed, Salvation Army, Disability Information Bureau, housing providers, and community organisations like food banks and adult social care teams. Your work helps ensure participants have a seamless, supportive journey into the programme via trusted ‘warm introductions’.
Your Responsibilities
- Rolling out our engagement strategy across East Hampshire, building strong referral pipelines.
- Achieving a target of customer starts on programme.
- Working with internal teams and external partners to drive programme performance.
- Delivering presentations, workshops, and engagement events - virtually and in-person.
- Collaborating with local stakeholders (Local Authorities, GPs, Chambers of Commerce, etc.).
- Coordinating and attending engagement meetings to ensure wraparound support.
- Supporting operations by targeting outreach where it’s needed most.
- Assessing customers' suitability for the programme.
