About the role: As part of our Technical Excellence Centre, you will benefit from structured study support and hands-on learning. During your first six months, you will begin your fully funded Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, with mentoring and guidance every step of the way. From there, we offer a clear and empowering career path - from Financial Planning Associate to Chartered Financial Planner - through our internal training Academy. We believe that balance matters. That is why we embrace hybrid working and offer flexible work policies to help you thrive both professionally and personally. For this role, we ask that you spend three days per week in the office and be available to travel to our Cheltenham Head Office on occasion for training. We are ideally looking for candidates who can commute to our offices in Harrogate, Darlington or Liverpool.
Main responsibilities:
- Secure and deliver information from the initial data gathering request so that it can progress through to completion
- Liaise with product providers and insurance companies to obtain policy and plan information in a timely manner
- Assist Financial Planners with portfolio reviews via analysis, compilation, and completion of in-house client reports/meeting packs
- Prepare client Annual Review letters
- Ensure compliance procedures are adhered to at all times, escalating any breaches or concerns to the Compliance Officer in a timely manner with full and accurate information
- Maintain and proactively secure product, technical, and regulatory knowledge to enhance personal performance.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
- Minimum 5 GCSEs graded A-B (6) or equivalent, including Maths and English
- Minimum 3 B grades at A Level or equivalent (preferably including Maths)
- 2:1 or above degree (preferably in Accountancy, Law or Business)
- Financial Services experience is beneficial
- Industry exams are beneficial (Ideally studying for the CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning)
- Must have an aspiration to become a Financial Planner or Paraplanner
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, numerical and IT skills
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Good organisational, time management, and caseload management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
Salary and benefits:
£25,000 rising to £30,000 on completion of the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. We provide fully funded study support to help you achieve this. Attivo also offers:
