We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the United Kingdom. This position will oversee the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction through commissioning and handover to operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in managing large-scale renewable energy infrastructure projects. Lead the planning, staffing, and execution of assigned solar PV and BESS projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. Manage subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure cohesive, efficient, and professional site operations. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional communication and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with engineering teams during pre-construction to align designs with project requirements and cost targets. Ensure robust contract management practices are maintained, working closely with the Contracts Manager to resolve any contractual issues. Maintain proactive control of project schedules, budgets, procurement activities, and reporting. Validate subcontractor progress reports and authorise corresponding payment applications. Enforce stringent quality assurance and control procedures on all projects. Coordinate and host client audits, inspections, and project reviews. Ensure all project documentation, progress logs, and close-out packages are accurately maintained and completed. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. PMP certification (Project Management Professional) highly desirable. Minimum 5 years\’ experience managing utility-scale solar PV and/or BESS projects, ideally within an EPC environment. Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, quality standards, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices. Practical experience with project management software tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar). Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, subcontractors, and complex technical issues under pressure. Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills. Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. Flexibility to travel to project sites as required.
