Working Pattern: 30 hours working on shift with support workers, 6hrs of admin 8:00am to 8:00pm, 8:00pm to 8:00am Mon to Sun
Do you have experience as a Team Leader or feel ready to step up into a new role? We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to work with a person we support living in their family home in Truro. This person has Charge Syndrome, a learning disability, registered deaf and blind but this does not define them. More interestingly they have a great sense of humour and have a wide range of hobbies such as swimming, visiting the farm and sensory rooms.
To make the most of trips out and about, we need people who are either local to Truro or know the area, and can drive a car, holding a full UK Driving Licence. Enriching activities will be an important factor in your support, and you will bring a wonderfully empathetic approach to truly make a difference to this person's life.
You will also need to bring previous experience with you in the following:
- Learning Disabilities
- Complex care such as Tracheostomy or Peg
- Behaviours that can be perceived as challenging
- Mental health
- Strong communication skills
What will your shift involve? In this role your time will be split between providing high-quality care, ensuring that the person you support receives compassionate and attentive care tailored to their specific needs and also overseeing, solving problems, inspiring and managing a growing team of support workers. Liaising on a daily basis with the clinical team to ensure the best quality of support. Additionally, you will be undertaking administrative tasks such as creating staff rotas and maintaining care plans.
