RedLaw is working exclusively with a leading global law firm to hire a Compliance Counsel for their expanding London team. If you're a Commercial Associate ready to step away from fee-earning but still want to play a key role in high-level commercial work, this could be the opportunity for you! This role offers the perfect balance—commercially focused, strategically important, and outside of traditional fee-earning.

You will report directly to the Head of Corporate Risk & Governance and work closely with the General Counsel, playing a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with professional standards. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Policy development
  • Conducting file audits
  • Delivering training
  • Managing contractual matters for both client engagements and supplier relationships

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience and a solid foundation in commercial law.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, productive relationships across all levels of the firm, fostering collaboration and trust.
  • Skilled in conveying complex issues with clarity, and able to deliver difficult decisions effectively and diplomatically.
  • Experience within a large City or international law firm is highly desirable.
