AIG is seeking a highly motivated Training Specialist to join our Global Change Management Team as the company embarks on a company-wide effort to reinvent the way we achieve operational efficiencies, support business growth, and engage with our customers.

Your primary objective will be to boost workplace performance and drive professional growth within our organization. As a Training Specialist, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to identify training gaps and develop targeted solutions to address them. You will also be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.

This is a global role where you will have the opportunity to play a key part in enhancing and developing the competencies of our employees by creating and delivering training programs that align with our company’s core values. You will be responsible for conducting training needs assessments, designing an engaging training curriculum, and overseeing all aspects of training interventions.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Identify training needs by evaluating current strengths and weaknesses against future state objectives.
  • Translate requirements into instructional materials, aids and manuals.
  • Partner with Technology development teams, Project Managers, Change Managers and Business Managers to develop knowledge, and create training programs.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver structured learning experiences and monitor their results.
  • Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as presentation, simulations, group discussions, videos or lectures.
  • Coordinate and communicate training activities.
  • Manage multiple training projects/priorities utilizing strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees' work behaviour.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Proven experience in Education or Learning & Development.
  • Experience in designing multiple training events in a corporate setting.
  • Knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles.
  • Proven ability to support the full training cycle.
  • Adequate knowledge of learning management software.
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques.
  • Sound decision making and organisational skills.
  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, technologically literate.
  • Knowledge of learning management software, Cornerstone software a plus.
