My client is looking for a Contracts Manager to join the team. You will be expected to manage the successful running & completion of multiple projects, developing/maintaining relationships with Clients and working collaboratively with other departments internally such as the commercial team. This role will be covering Kent and London.
Responsibilities:
- Regular site visits monitoring work progress and ensuring the quality of work is to the acceptable standard, consistent across all.
- Compiling, maintaining & issuing of programmes.
- Taking off/scheduling materials and assisting with procurement.
- Analysis of labour resource requirements and placement & control of labour, managing associated costs in accordance with set budgets.
- Scheduling engineers prices/rates, in conjunction with the above.
- Assisting with reviewing, authorising and scheduling engineers monthly payments, ensuring that invoiced is reflective of work complete.
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly applications to Clients for payment and costing of variations throughout the life of each project.
- Ensuring Risk Assessment & Method Statements are prepared and monitored.
- Ensuring company policies with regard to H&S, environment etc. are adhered to at all times.
- Assisting in preparing technical submissions.
- Collating certification/literature and preparation of O&M manuals.
- Assisting with post-completion issues such as defects and liaising with the After-Sales Department in order to resolve.
- Providing general advice & support to site, specifically Foreman/Supervisors.
- Attending project meetings with Clients, Consultants, Sub-Contractors and other third parties as necessary.
- Attending and providing input within regular internal cost review meetings, whereby costs incurred/committed/anticipated are reviewed against budgets and forecasts.
- Preparation of work in progress reports for submission to the Directors upon request.
- Undertaking any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required and/or requested by senior members of staff.
The ideal candidate will be:
- 5 years experience in a management role of a similar nature
- HNC/HND in Mechanical Services or similar
- Practical experience/skills certified (even if basic level plumbing or similar)
- CSCS
- First Aid
- SMSTS
