Responsibilities
- Work with SMEs to establish the portfolio of documents required.
- Understand each method of backup and restore used within the environment.
- Produce high-quality, comprehensive documentation based on the information obtained.
- Ensure documentation meets quality standards and is user-friendly.
- Submit documents for peer review and amend as required.
Skills and Experience:
- Essential
- Excellent technical authoring skills.
- Good understanding of Infrastructure generally (Windows, Unix, Linux, Networking, Virtualisation).
- Knowledge of Storage and Backup systems (e.g., EMC Networker, Rubrik, TSM) is preferable.
- Expert in standard authoring tools such as Word, Excel, and Visio.
Work Experience:
- Essential:
- Proven experience as a technical author, preferably in storage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proven track record of delivering within challenging timeframes.
