A leading Design & Build Electrical contractor with offices in London and Essex is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Manager to join their dynamic team due to growth. The company specializes in commercial and residential fit-outs, delivering projects ranging from £5k to £2m. With a strong client base within the M25 area, they are known for high-quality electrical services and a commitment to excellence.
This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who thrives on variety and challenge, managing small contracts alongside larger design and build projects in the Commercial & Residential sectors.
The Role
As an Electrical Project Manager, you will play a key role in the tendering, delivery, and management of electrical building services contracts. You will balance site visits, surveys, and meetings with time spent in the office or flexible working arrangements from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage electrical fit-out projects, including small-scale contracts and larger design and build projects.
- Supervise and coordinate sub-contractors, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance.
- Procure and purchase materials in collaboration with the in-house procurement manager.
- Oversee project budgets, P&L, and cost control, providing regular updates and reports.
- Ensure all health & safety procedures and documentation align with client requirements.
- Produce and update CVIs, RFIs, and final O&M manuals as required.
- Liaise with clients’ contracts managers regarding accounts, ensuring smooth communication and delivery.
Requirements:
- Solid Electrical knowledge with a proven track record in managing electrical services contracts.
- Experience managing multiple small contracts and large projects simultaneously.
- Commercial experience, including cost control and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of health & safety standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of estimating and design (advantageous but not essential).
- Professional demeanor with excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Computer literate, proficient in Word and Excel.
