Mobile Maintenance Electrician

Location: Islington, London (N5 2EQ)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM

Salary: £19.00 – £20.00 per hour

About the Role:

We are seeking a Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join our team, providing essential electrical maintenance and repair services within a school setting. This role requires a reliable and skilled professional with a strong understanding of electrical systems, compliance regulations, and a proactive approach to safety and maintenance. We have a strong team of Electrical Engineers in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on electrical systems within the school.
Ensure compliance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and other relevant safety standards.
Conduct inspections, testing, and certification of electrical installations.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and emergency repairs.
Work closely with the school's facilities team to ensure a safe and functional environment.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
Respond promptly to electrical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to school operations.
Adhere to health & safety regulations, safeguarding both staff and students.

Requirements:

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) – Essential
Previous experience working in a school, educational facility, or similar environment – Preferred
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent) – Desirable
2391 Testing & Inspection qualification – Advantageous
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) – Required
Strong knowledge of electrical fault-finding and maintenance
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
