The role:
- As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll oversee and coordinate the work of team members, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Hold and manage Safety Documents to ensure strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Utilise and maintain specialised equipment required for reactor inspections.
- Take positive remedial action on identified unsafe working conditions or practices.
- Interpret and implement the task, including the associated quality requirements.
- Complete the scope of work to time and budget constraints.
- Produce and complete any appropriate documentation and records associated with the task.
- Maintain good communications between Sites, EDF energy (where applicable) with updates on progress, issues and possible resolutions.
This role is full time, 37-hours across a 4-day week (Monday - Thursday) and based at the Harwell site in Oxfordshire.
Essential experience:
- Previous experience working within a Mechanical Engineering role.
- Demonstrable experience in managing teams to deliver.
- Experience covering a variety of tasks across a range of complexities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines.
Qualifications:
- Relevant engineering qualifications e.g. HNC/HND.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
