The Role
As a FIX Onboarding Engineer and Application Support at Clear Street, you will be part of a dedicated team working closely with sales, trading desks, and software engineers to provide end-to-end FIX onboarding and support across front, middle, and back-office systems. This role suits technically inclined support and onboarding professionals eager to delve into issues, coding, and impactful improvements.
You Will:
- Provide high-touch user support to sales and trading desks across EMEA and US markets.
- Onboard FIX clients across all asset classes.
- Support trading platforms on various OS environments, including high/low touch trading, algorithmic trading, exchange/FIX connectivity, and middle office bookings.
- Manage trading systems configuration in production and UAT environments.
- Analyze application logs, code bases, OS, and network to identify root causes and workarounds.
- Automate repetitive tasks and identify process improvements.
- Develop scripts, SQL queries, and implement application changes.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
- Work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Maintain high attention to detail and quality service.
- Prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Requirements:
- Minimum five years of experience in high-pressure environments, preferably in front office application support with tight deadlines.
- Experience with client onboarding and supporting vendor platforms like Fidessa, UL, TT; knowledge of Equities, Futures, Commodities, FX assets.
- Knowledge of transfer protocols such as FIX and native protocols.
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.
- Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases, including data querying and exploration.
- Knowledge of execution feeds, market data handling, and algorithmic trading is a plus.
