We are seeking a highly organised and detail-driven Food Production Manager to lead our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will champion compliance, drive efficiency, and maintain unwavering quality standards.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee all food production activities, ensuring daily output meets our high-quality and safety benchmarks.
- Enforce strict compliance with SALSA standards, HACCP, COSHH, and health & safety regulations.
- Implement and maintain detailed documentation and clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team to uphold structure, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Manage and refine production schedules to meet both retail and wholesale demands.
- Monitor inventory, coordinate purchasing, and minimise waste through effective stock control.
- Identify and resolve operational issues quickly to ensure smooth and safe kitchen operations.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and food safety excellence.
What You’ll Bring
- At least 3 years of experience in food production management or leading a central kitchen.
- Experience working in a SALSA or BRC-accredited environment (preferred).
- Exceptional organisation and planning skills with strong documentation practices.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and safe production processes.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and uphold high team standards.
- Confidence in making decisions under pressure in a high-volume production setting.
- A commitment to quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
