Job Description:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

• Support the growth of the Commercial Procurement team as an advisory (non-contentious) lawyer.
• Require around 2+ years post-qualifying experience, but open to a range of experience levels.
• Work on high-value, innovative procurement matters.

WHERE WILL YOU WORK?

Based in Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh, or Glasgow with a flexible hybrid working system (3 days in the office, 2 from home).

THE TEAM

Recognized market leader, ranked in Band 1 in the UK for procurement law. Handles advisory and disputes work across procurement regulations, including significant government projects and sector-specific rules.

The team supports clients with the transition to the Procurement Act 2023 and other regulations.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Requires technical expertise, teamwork, and enthusiasm. Responsibilities include:

• Providing strategic procurement advice.
• Drafting procurement documents.
• Advising on procurement processes and tenders.
• Supporting dispute resolution and claims.
• Leading workstreams on major projects.
• Business development activities.
• Supporting clients with the Procurement Act 2023 transition.

YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

Successful candidates will have:

• Recent experience in public/utilities procurement law.
• Enthusiasm for developing sector expertise.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong client-service and commercial focus.
