Role Overview: Morgan Philips is currently representing a globally operating logistics and supply chain company in their search for a Legal Counsel on a 6-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Head of Legal, EMEA, the successful candidate will support the Legal team by negotiating commercial contracts, managing risk and insurance, ensuring corporate compliance, and liaising with external legal counsel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, redline, and negotiate various contracts including Master Service Agreements, Vendor Agreements, licensing, ecommerce, agency, trademarks, and NDAs, and draft templates as needed.
  • Assist with property lease renewals and negotiations.
  • Handle dispute resolution, including defending and resolving major disputes and leading smaller disputes strategies.
  • Support trademark enforcement efforts across the UK & Ireland.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and other privacy regulations.
  • Contribute to building the UK & Ireland legal team, defining legal strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide legal support for daily business operations and projects.
  • Collaborate with outside counsel to optimize costs and mitigate risks.
  • Assist HR with employment agreements, staffing negotiations, and releases.
  • Work with HR and Compliance teams to enhance legal compliance across UK & Ireland.

Required Experience:

  • Qualified UK Lawyer
  • Experience in Commercial Law and Contracts
  • 2-4 years PQE preferred
  • In-house legal experience
  • Knowledge of cross-border contracts, trade law, technology law, data protection, employment law, litigation, corporate governance, and trademarks
