Principal Highways Engineer Carrington West is delighted to be working with a leading organisation to find an experienced and motivated Principal Highways Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on exciting and varied projects that make a real difference to communities. The Role As a Principal Highways Engineer, you'll be responsible for overseeing the design, supervision, procurement, and implementation of a range of highways and traffic schemes. You'll take ownership of projects from start to finish, ensuring they're delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. You'll work on projects such as: ·20mph schemes ·Highway improvements and traffic management ·Parking schemes (car parking and residential) ·Cycleway schemes ·Pedestrian crossings What You'll Be Doing ·Leading the design and delivery of schemes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and guidelines. ·Supervising works on-site, including road markings, signage, and other infrastructure improvements. ·Managing procurement processes to support successful project delivery. ·Running consultation meetings with stakeholders, including residents, contractors, and other partners. ·Providing detailed and accurate designs using AutoCAD. ·Regularly visiting sites to oversee works and liaise with contractors.
